Gulmarg is in the Pir Panjals, one of the six ranges which make up the Himalaya and is in the Baramulla district of Kashmir. Amazingly, Gulmarg is one of the highest lift-served ski resorts in the world with the main gondola whisking you up to 4000m giving a downhill ski run of about 5 kms - absolutely amazing views and virtually untracked deep powder. When it snows, its not unusual for a dump of 1m!!! Friendly, great value and some of the best views in the world, Gulmarg is not to be missed for an adventure and experience you won't forget....
