A traditional, unspoilt, family resort in the Portes du Soleil ski area, Saint Jean d'Aulps offers skiers the grandiose backdrop of "le Roc d'Enfer" down to la Chèvrerie with great views of Lake Geneva, the Dents du Midi and Mont Blanc. The resort itself is quite small with a limited number of runs but that adds to its charm and friendliness. However, don't be fooled by the local skiing stats - it's link to the vast Portes du Soleil system gives skiers of all abilities plenty to get their teeth into.
